Long Yard Meadow

Long Yard Meadow is a field in Admaston situated to the north of the B4394, just before the bridge over the railway tracks in Station Road.

The Parish Council owns and maintains this area as a wild meadow area with lovely views over the Shropshire countryside to be enjoyed by all residents. 

Please note: The meadow has recently been scarified and new wild flower seeds planted. Please walk carefully around those areas. 

The kissing gate entrance to the meadow has been removed as the posts were deteriorating and it posed a health and safety risk. The Parish Council had also received complaints that the space was not completely accessible to those with additional needs and pushchairs although it was compliant with relevant legislation when it was installed. A temporary entrance has been installed and the Parish Council are now considering how the entrance and space can be further enhanced for the use of the whole community.
